The first two Wednesday afternoon open sessions have gone well, with people attending from as far afield as Liverpool, with a good mix of experience, from complete beginners to ‘old hands’ and using a range of media from charcoal to oil paint.

The three-hour sessions offer an excellent opportunity for students of all levels to practise their artistic skills in a focused yet convivial atmosphere with a friendly, supportive, group of like-minded portraitists.  Although the sessions are untutored, there’s plenty of time in the breaks to chat, ask questions and generally learn from each other.

There are still four more Wednesday sessions to go before the end of term. If you’d like to try one, please go to the booking page to buy a £5 Taster Session for your first visit and see what you think.  Easels, tea and biscuits are provided, just bring something to draw or paint with and on.  I do hope you can join us.

Below are a few photos from the sessions.
